We do not require an account to use SettleThis. We do not retain any personal information or dispute submissions once both parties have responded and the verdict has been delivered.
SettleThis is designed for minimal data collection. To use the service, you do not need to create an account, provide your name, or supply any identifying information. The only data we collect during a session is:
Dispute submissions — the text you and the other party voluntarily write describing your side of a dispute. These are temporarily stored in order to generate the AI verdict.
Session identifiers — randomly generated tokens used to link both parties to the same dispute and deliver the verdict. These are not tied to your identity.
We do not collect email addresses, phone numbers, names, or payment information in connection with free disputes.
Your submission is used solely to generate the AI verdict for your specific dispute. It is passed to a third-party AI provider (Google Gemini) for processing. We do not use your submissions for advertising, profiling, training our own models, or any purpose beyond delivering your verdict.
We do not retain dispute submissions or session data after both parties have submitted and the verdict has been delivered. Once the dispute is resolved, the associated data is no longer stored on our systems.
If a dispute expires before both parties submit — for example, if the Defender does not respond within 48 hours — the incomplete session and any associated data are deleted at that point.
Verdicts are generated using the Google Gemini API. When you submit a dispute, your text is transmitted to Google's systems for processing. You should review Google's privacy policy to understand how they handle data submitted through their API. We do not control Google's data practices.
We do not share your submissions with any other third parties.
We use minimal session-related cookies to maintain your dispute session while the verdict is being generated. We do not use tracking cookies, advertising cookies, or analytics that identify you as an individual.
We do not use Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, or similar third-party tracking services.
SettleThis is not intended for use by individuals under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has submitted information through our service, please contact us and we will take appropriate steps to remove it.
Dispute submissions are dual-blind by design — neither party can view the other's submission until after the verdict is rendered. Session tokens are randomly generated and not guessable. We use HTTPS for all data transmission.
While we take reasonable precautions, no internet transmission is completely secure. Please do not submit highly sensitive personal information through this service.
We may update this policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the effective date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
